What is a Predictive CAPI? CAPI integrations improve upon traditional browser pixels by sending more reliable, unified, identifier-rich consumer actions from your website/apps to ad platforms. Angler’s Predictive CAPI goes well beyond other CAPI options by integrating an AI model that predicts the future outcome of each consumer action. With these added insights sent to ad platforms, you can optimize campaigns towards your desired business outcome, whether it be exclusively new customers, high-LTV consumers, high-value leads, and more, and thus improve campaign performance for these objectives.

How many events can we run through Angler AI's platform? As many as you’d like! Angler’s platform processes more than 200 million events per month in near-real-time, and scales to meet your volume needs.
Can B2B brands use Angler or only B2C? Yes, Angler’s works for B2C and B2B brands that are using paid media inside walled gardens for acquiring new businesses.
Do I need another browser pixel if I have an existing conversions API (CAPI)? Browser pixels are optional if you use Angler’s predictive CAPI.
How is Angler’s CAPI different from Meta’s? Meta’s Conversion API is the framework being leveraged by Angler AI to send high-quality predictive events to Meta for auction training and attribution.
Will running a free trial with Angler mess up my existing data? No it will not. Angler’s Predictive CAPI will be set up inside a brand new dataset inside your Meta’s events manager, that way Angler’s events will be completely isolated from your business as usual activities. Furthermore, it will only be used for the specific campaigns that you use Angler’s dataset for optimization.
How configurable is Angler’s CAPI? Read this article to understand all of Angler’s CAPI configuration options.
Can Angler’s predictive CAPI enhance the main pixel after the trial? Yes, Angler can send predictive events directly to the main pixel, allowing:
Optimization of all campaigns with Angler’s predictive CAPI
Continued leverage of the main pixel’s full history for efficient retargeting
Once Angler starts powering the main pixel:
Disable the existing CAPI integration (e.g., Shopify’s CAPI)
How should I exclude current customers from targeting in A/B tests? You should use audience exclusion in the setup, and use the exact same audiences to exclude for both challenger and control. While the actual exclusion list will vary by ad account as it depends on how they are maintaining existing customers and CRM lists within ad account, but in general, the exclusion audiences should include:
Past purchasers (ideally lifetime, but at least last 1-2 years) AND
Any CRM list (i.e. leads that haven’t purchased yet) AND
Optional – any site visitors in last 90-180 days
For the site visitors exclusion, the brand needs to create an audience list off their current pixel (page view events).
